Lots of changes happening from version 3 to version 4 thanks to all the great feedback!
The majority of informal feedback had been that people don't have printers and that was stopping them from trying out prototype 3. with this in mind, I have digitised Pando with the help of Tabletopia!
You can now test out the game online for free without having to sign up, pay or anything like that. It took a while to learn the Tabletopia development tools but it has been worth it. To start a game all you have to do is click through the link and invite people/send them a room code.
Once you're in the game, you'll find the first bit of work that is going to stay in the final version, the music. This has been created especially for the Pando game by Axel Hill ( Instagram axelhillmusic ) and I am absolutely in love with it! we have big plans when it comes to diversifying the musical track but the section on play is the building blocks of what you will see in the future.
If you don't already know, this game is being designed so that you can play it remotely using Augmented Reality (AR) through mobile devices and will need elements like online play, music and animation.
Before the majority of these elements are created, the rules will need to be defined and set in stone. With this in mind, this will be one of the last playtest versions that will be produced before I start work on the actual digital design elements. Currently, this is just the physical elements of the game that have been digitised rather than components that allow a physical product to communicate digitally... if that makes sense?
So if there are any changes you would like to see then please leave feedback and I will do my best to accommodate.
